Here’s a gig poster I just did for Martha, Good Grief and JFK in Liverpool.
I’ll add a link to more info when it appears.
I had the great pleasure of being interviewed for the Future Library podcast.
"Alex speaks to Liverpudlian artist and musician Sean Wárs about Microsoft Paint, noise gigs, art school, local venues, and how there’s more to his hometown than The Beatles."
I haven’t listened to it, cause I don’t wanna hear my own voice, I wouldn’t mind if you listened to it though, no pressure obviously.
I DID ANOTHER GIG POSTER.
WAX MUSEUM CHILLED OUT PARTY VIBES FOR THE HUNGOVER.
A REAL BRONX CHEER.
I’M GETTING PAINFULLY OBSESSED WITH MAKING ILLEGIBLE BAND LOGOS AT THE MOMENT. HERE’S THE NEWEST ONE, SEE IF YOU CAN SEE WHAT IT SAYS.
All about these Atomic Elbow shirts. I think this is the last batch of shirts with this design so if you want one you should get in touch! You can also get issues of this zine here and probably other places. The really really really amazing design is by Sean Wars.
LAST CHANCE TO GET ONE OF MY ATOMIC ELBOW TSHIRTS! BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DESIGNS A BETTER ONE!
HERE IS A T-SHIRT I DESIGNED FOR THE PORTUGUESE POST-ROCK BAND SAUR, (I DIDN’T DO THE FONT).
JUST PROVING I’M STILL BREATHING.
Ages ago I dropped my whole pedal board and totally snapped the power jack in my SMMwH to smithereens, it half worked for a while then died, it’s sat unused since then, so I thought I should get round to fixing it, It’s the shoddiest job in the world, I just pulled the internal parts of the jack out to solder to, instead of touching the double sided PCB. I had to file down the sides of the new socket to fit through the whole, it’s stuck rigid luckily cause I’d never of got a nut on the other side.
Wow. Boring update.
The folk/drone band I play in Trouble With Books got to go and record a session for Roger Hill’s PMS Show on BBC Radio Merseyside (PMS is the longest-running alternative music show on U.K. local radio).
The session is being aired this Sunday (18th) from 12PM on 95.8 FM, 1485 AM and of course via the wonders on the internet.
